Either the Elf was having us on, or he truly did not understand why people have been turning up, something strange and magical was going on here, and Yuljolf did not like it one bit. Grumble at the dwarf's words, Yuljolf remained silent, for now, his patients was wearing thing, he wanted some answers.

The elf gave the humans another look and continued speaking in the human tongue, "Very well." He paused. "Why are you here if you are not the ambassador though? Would you like to come with me now? We'll go see the Prince, perhaps he'll know what to do with you."

"We are here to slaughter you all!" Thorin joked. The elf looked a bit hostile at him. "Just kidding mate, we are here to seek some human princess lady, it pays us good. And don't worry those humans are good ones, skilled fighters and while short-lived, pretty nice." "But i think it would be a good idea to escort us to your prince.... and also elf.... can you tell me which year on the imperial calender it is?

Tixi remained silent as the conversation between the elf and the rest of his group continued. "a loop in the fabric of the reality" he thought.... "portal magic.....not something to go blindly into...a missed syllable, a slight break of concentration and the one weaving such an enchantment could find himself trapped in the inbetween, or worse...I truly wonder if the portal transported us through time as well" with that he broke his silence

"Dear elf, I'm not sssshure that I caught your name. Forgive an old one for hiss lackingsss in perssception, but would you be so kind asss to enlighten me. What day, year and month isss this's fine one?"

Action : goes through his knowledge of the elven way of counting time...

"My name is Elithmarsen, son of Laranis and Narathme, and this is the two thousand four hundred and third year since Anaerion stepped into the Flame of Asuryan and saved the world from the scourge of chaos. You are in Tor Anroc... Might I ask where you are from yourselves if you are not from here or now?"

The elf was amazed at what he was told, although had to have the Imperial Calendar translated before he understood the year. Elithmarsen wouldn't ask for any details of the future though, stating that was the place of his Prince Ithram. He led the group up winding staircases before leaving them in a room, telling them to wait while he spoke with the Prince.

Leon was impatient. He didn't know much of Elven history and cared not which year scholars said it was. When had a damsel in distress ever been saved by waiting? That was not how the stories went. As a young boy in Bretonnia he had listen intently to every bedside story old Nana told. Every day he played the bold knights in the stories, with his friends by his side. Although this was no game, and the ones by his side weren't his friends, the princess was not to be saved by waiting.

"Guys, the princess is waiting for her rescue. Are you just going to sit around here, with cushions under your behinds and drink wine? Or are you going to save a princess?"

Leon walked to the door, and opened it, and stepped out in the hallway, looking for guards.

Action: Walk to the door, open it and try to leave the room.

Leon turns around to the dwarf, saying, with a mischievous gleam in his eyes: "Oh, you give up easily, I see. Or is that a challenge?" ;)
