Story & Fluff Reference

Postby Jean Marcel l'Impéteux » Wed Sep 20, 2006 3:20 am

I would just like to point out, for those (Schmeag) who like my writing and stories thus far, I have actually a lot of literature here

I have my own section: The Tales of Jean Marcel and I have a a lot of submissions in the Ballad section (look for author name: Jeff Hyde) and a few submissions in the "Various Stories" section (look for author name, again, Jeff Hyde) and a reciting of the Challenge at Paladin's Keep under the "The Twilight War Campaign 2006" section (obviously look for the author name: Jeff Hyde)

I must admit that a few bits of my work (Legion of Champions and The Raid to be specific) are... erm... 'noobish' so to speak. They aren't very well written... the actual story "The Tale of Jean Marcel" is decently written and explains how I got the name the Honorable... true Bretonnian-esque fluff, even though my name has since changed to L'Impéteux.

I have since submitted my warband fluff that I showed here, I have also submitted the 3 first parts to Betrayal and War and there is also a story named The Day Before the Next... which is the story of Jean's youth and errant-hood and speaks mainly of how his family was murdered and what happened to his home... what has led him to be the man he is today and such...

If you like to read I advise going there, it's quite the writer's corner at the roundtable indeed!

Thanks for reading my stuff guys ^^

As you said there are quite a lot of pieces of fiction and literature there, and it seems to be organised differently, although I think I like the way it is done; less time is spent searching.

By reading your pieces, it has given me a greater insight as to your character's personality and behaviour. Truly, you cannot have one as a standalone piece.

The last one that I read was the Twilight War piece (no idea what it is). It was pretty well constructed, although I was a bit confused by this:

The errants, after their charge... they were slaghtered by the forces of evil Jean

Isn't that the main character?

Good stuff, though. ^_^ Does Bretonnia actually have an anthem?

EDIT: Nagathi sounds wierd as a leader in the Twilight War piece. I just can't imagine him fitting into the scene. Talk about preconceptions. :P

That mistake was notnoticed... maybe I missed that... or... a comma is missing or a period is missing? Blah I'll look it over thanks for bringing that up!

Thanks for the compliment and no, as far as we know... Bretonnia doesn't have an anthem :P But I thought of making one and wrote it myself xD

by the way... yeah I know... the whole Nagathi thing as a leader of the forces of light... ~sigh~ well I had to try and make him look good despite our little... 'fight' over my impetuous attitude and mutany (spelling check)

lol :P Thanks for reading though ^^

Edit: If you read The Day Before the Next- Part I, Part II is now up!
