What does a wood elf do on his day off?

Postby Daith » Wed Jan 18, 2006 10:56 am

Hey everyone i was just thinking, wood elves are completley in tune with the forest, they defend it from all comers. But what does a wod elf do on his (or her) day off? They don't grow crops, because they would have to clear land. They dont make metal weapons because that would involve digging up loren (so what are theyre weapons made of?) They dont invade others like orcs... They really have no option except to patrol Loren and sing in their halls... scuse me but ill take seductive witch elves any time.... but im a guy so....
Hey, whats so bad about goin to hell? Its nice and warm and theres no choirs...

They dont have days off. They hone their skills, whatever they may be. They work with clothes, weapons, food, patrolling, tree-singing, stuff like that.

That´s how I see it anyway. However Loren seems to be left alone a lot, so maybe they just chill out instead of being on constant red alert.

And of course they let themselves loose in their Discohalls!

They have a picnic. Other than that (and tree hugging) they hone their skills and protect the forest.

to answer one of your points daith they do make weapons if you have a look in the old rulebook. the just replant and sing to anything they use (although i'm not sure where they get metal from. maybe dead foes)

Zoe: Proximity alert. Must be coming up on something.
Wash: alarmed Oh my god. What can it be? We're all doomed! Who's flying this thing!? (deadpan) Oh right, that would be me. Back to work.

i get where they get wood from.... thats easy... but metal? that would be alot harder to find.... dead enemies maybe, that kind of fits in with the whole scavenging/reclaiming idea of WE

To avoid another long discussion on WE blacksmiths, Daith read THIS topic.
